Originally from Oklahoma and raised in Oregon, Clifford Faust now enjoys working and living in New York City. He graduated from the Los Angeles Art Center School, and then worked in San Francisco, before making his way to New York. His experiences along the way, his personal identity and the excitement about everything he came to know in New York when he arrived in the late 60’s helped Clifford develop his original, mixed media, cut paper style.
Clifford Faust style is also strongly influenced by the artists he admires; Bernie Fuchs, Mark English, the French Impressionists, Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, and Egon Schiele.
Clifford Faust has illustrated book covers for US and Canadian publishers, has worked with major NY advertising agencies and created the artwork for Miami’s 1995 “ART DECO WEEKEND” POSTER. His work has been exhibited at the NY Society of Illustrator’s annual shows and at galleries in the US. |
